In collaboration with firm client The Regulatory Fundamentals Group, McGuireWoods’ New York office hosted an all-day program on “Managing Relationships: Best Practices for Working with Service Providers.” The program addressed issues raised when institutional investors, including large university endowments, enter into agreements with hedge funds, private equity funds and other alternative investment managers.
McGuireWoods securities lawyers Bo Harvey and John Servidio (both New York) and Rakesh Gopalan (Charlotte), and tax and employee benefits lawyer Michele McKinnon (Richmond) discussed key deal points in structuring and negotiating investment management agreements, trade documentation and service contracts.
The June 14 event highlighted the partnership of the firm’s securities practice and education industry group.
