Chicago partner David Hartsell was a featured panelist at the American Bar Association’s National Legal Malpractice Conference, held in Chicago from Sept. 5-7 and sponsored by the ABA’s Standing Committee on Lawyers’ Professional Liability. Hartsell spoke on potential liability under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and other consumer statutes for lawyers who practice in the mortgage foreclosure and other debt collection areas.
