As production from the Marcellus and Utica has grown, so has the need for midstream projects to get gas from the field to the market(s). Associate Anthony Carna spoke on the topic “The Midstream Landman: A Challenging Endeavor in An Ever Changing World” at this event hosted by the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation. This panel discussed the ins and outs of what has changed with landowner negotiations and right of way acquisition since the advent of the Marcellus Shale. Panelists explained what can happen when a midstream company tries to assert existing rights when repairing, replacing or twining existing pipelines and why a client may want to have a security team on stand-by.
