Partner Durham C. McCormick Jr. will moderate the panel discussion entitled “Financing Storage in the Energy Transition Era” at the 2022 “Projects & Money” event.
Storage is the fastest-growing alternative energy asset class and opportunities for a horde of projects are accelerating. But financing storage projects have many unique features that can create challenges in contracting, risk, and access to capital for both offtakers and developers. This panel discussion will focus on the opportunities and challenges present in today’s energy storage market and what is needed to assure financeability and mitigate project risks.
Partner Eddy Daniels will moderate the panel discussion entitled “How ESG Impacts Project Valuations and Investment Decisions.” As capital markets, investors, lenders and corporate off-takers accelerate their engagement with the challenges of environmental threats, the development of formalized ESG principles has created great opportunities to increase company and project valuations and achieve project financing more easily and at more favorable rates. However, there is still a lot of work to be done to make these investments more transparent and standardized, as well as improving reporting so that investors can commit their funds with more confidence. This session will examine how ESG is playing into investment decision-making this year and provide an outlook on the expectation for an increased growth rate in ESG-related investments.
The “Projects & Money” event is where the country’s leading project developers and the financial community come to kick off their year. It is a powerful venue for the project finance community to connect, share information about upcoming project opportunities, buy and sell projects, and get the latest market intelligence on the trends in the markets, all while hearing the best-informed perspectives on the financing and deal-making landscape.
