Brussels partner Matthew Hall (Antitrust and Trade Regulation) recently edited the Summer 2016 Economics Committee Newsletter for the American Bar Association Section of Antitrust Law. For the newsletter, Hall also prepared a summary of a discussion — which he organized and which the Economics Committee sponsored — with Professor Massimo Motta, chief competition economist at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition, who offered his views on the relationship between competition policy and fairness.
A frequent writer and speaker on antitrust law topics, Hall served as vice chair of the Section of Antitrust Law’s Economics Committee in 2015-16 and for 2016-17 is vice chair of its International Committee. He also is a member of the steering group of the ABA Section of International Law’s International Antitrust Law Committee.
The Economics Committee Newsletter provides a forum where members can share their views on topics related to the relationship of antitrust law and economics worldwide.
