Norfolk partner Amy Morrissey Turk was profiled in a May 23 Law360 story that highlighted her return to McGuireWoods after 11 years in the legal department at Dollar Tree Inc.
Turk is a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment Department. As Dollar Tree’s assistant general counsel, she oversaw all legal employment matters for the company and its subsidiaries and provided compliance and strategic guidance to executive and field management teams in both the retail and distribution divisions.
“I’m grateful for my time at Dollar Tree. I think it provided me experience that I never would have obtained if I spent my entire career at an outside law firm,” Turk told Law360. “But I’m equally grateful for the opportunity McGuireWoods is giving me to come back into private practice and utilize that skill set that I learned. And I’m excited, I’m really excited to be back home at McGuireWoods.”
Turk’s move to McGuireWoods also was noted by Inside Business, which serves Virginia’s Hampton Roads region.
