The October 2019 issue of The Energy Dispatch, a publication of the Institute for Energy Law (IEL) Young Energy Professionals’ Committee, profiled McGuireWoods Houston partner Meghaan C. Madriz.
The piece dubbed Madriz an “Energized Employment Lawyer and Super-Mom,” focusing on her representation of energy companies in labor and employment law matters, including wage and hour disputes, Department of Labor investigations, class and collective actions, discrimination claims, and trade secret and noncompete disputes. A Louisiana native and mother of two, The Energy Dispatch reported that Madriz enjoys travel, cooking and trying new restaurants.
Madriz’s advice to young lawyers? “Find a mentor who believes in you, who is willing to commit his/her time and energy to your advancement, who stands up for you, and whom you admire, trust and, most importantly, consider a friend.”
