Pittsburgh partner Gregg Rosen discussed his career and the state of the legal profession in a Q&A with The Legal Intelligencer, which honored him for lifetime achievement in its 2019 Professional Excellence Awards.
Rosen established himself as one of the most influential lawyers in Pennsylvania mining, oil and gas, and natural resources matters during his four-decade career. In his interview, Rosen cited the evolution of technology and related information management as one of the most significant changes to occur in his career. The industry’s embrace of diversity is another important development, he said.
“Our profession has benefited greatly from these developments,” he said.
Rosen said collegiality and professional courtesy continue to stand the test of time and lawyers should value those essential qualities.
“These traits make practicing law enjoyable, but one constantly needs to work on them,” he said.
