Law360, The American Lawyer, Bloomberg Law and Thomson Reuters were among the news outlets covering the arrival of McGuireWoods partner Elizabeth Hogan, who recently joined the firm’s Government Investigations & White Collar Litigation Department in Washington, D.C. Hogan, a former senior officer at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority co-chairs the firm’s securities enforcement and litigation team.
“I’m really excited about the future of our practice and bringing to the table several years’ worth of experience with complex market issues and also returning to assisting clients with large scope, broad investigations — investigations that touch on any securities-related issues,” Hogan said in an interview with Law360, which featured her in an Oct. 22, 2020, profile.
Hogan was FINRA’s senior vice president in charge of market regulation enforcement. She said McGuireWoods “has not only a true depth but also a very broad range of experience on its securities enforcement and litigation team. My background involves large investigations and much more nuanced specific broker-dealer regulatory issues, which is a great complement to that practice.”
The American Lawyer noted Hogan’s arrival at McGuireWoods in an Oct. 23 story covering major partner announcements. Bloomberg Law included the news in its Oct. 22 Wake Up Call column, and Thomson Reuters Westlaw Today announced the move Oct. 22. The firm’s announcement also was picked up by the industry news source Securities Docket.
