Virginia Business magazine profiled McGuireWoods partner Michael Herring among its “100 People to Meet in 2022.” The feature, which spotlights business leaders and trendsetters from across the state, was published in the magazine’s December 2021 edition.
Herring, managing partner of the firm’s Richmond office, was included in the magazine’s list of “go-getters,” a group described as “well-rounded leaders in their fields and their communities.”
Herring served for 13 years as Richmond’s commonwealth’s attorney before joining McGuireWoods in 2019. He told the magazine that he decided to return to private practice because he believes turnover is healthy and the time had come to pass the mantle to his successor. He found a home at McGuireWoods, where he represents clients in complex commercial litigation.
“I like to tell folks they’ll have to drag me out of here,” Herring said.
