McGuireWoods London office managing partner and employment lawyer Daniel Peyton, who spoke as a panelist in the HR Lunchtime Debate, was quoted in a Feb. 15, 2021, HR Magazine article covering the event. The article shared panelists’ comments on corporate risk management issues arising during and following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Peyton cautioned that health and safety risk assessments and data security vulnerabilities “may have fallen by the wayside for many organizations” over the past year.
“It can be a minefield if colleagues do not agree on risk management policy in a post-COVID workforce,” Peyton said.
“Because of the nature of the pandemic, and how it incrementally affected the workplace . . . I think it’s true to say that there’s not been a moment when clients took a risk audit and took the long-term view,” he added.
