Richmond partner Bryan Fratkin and associate Pat McNichol, members of McGuireWoods’ Business & Securities Litigation Department, co-authored the Virginia chapter of the book “The Law of Class Action: Fifty-State Survey 2021.”
Published June 2, 2021, by the American Bar Association, the book is a valuable tool for in-house and outside counsel facing the prospect of litigating class actions in state forums where they may have little or no experience and still must make informed recommendations on removal. Succinct summaries prepared by litigators from each of the respective states address changes in rules and statutes as well as significant case law.
Fratkin co-leads McGuireWoods’ class action practice with a focus on consumer financial services litigation. McNichol defends clients in credit card and banking matters in state and federal courts across the country.
