McGuireWoods Washington, D.C., partner Andrew Southerling was recently quoted in Law360 and the Chicago Tribune about a complete acquittal the firm won on Sept. 20, 2021, for client James Needham, a former senior salesman for Chicago-based Power Solutions International (PSI) following a nearly four-week trial in the Northern District of Illinois.
In 2019, the U.S. Attorney’s Office charged Needham with 11 counts of securities fraud and wire fraud, allegations he denied. On Sept. 20, the judge in United States v. Winemaster, et al. found Needham and other defendants not guilty on all counts.
“Mr. Needham has steadfastly asserted his innocence, and he is eager to be able to put these allegations behind him. We are grateful for the court’s time and attention throughout this matter,” Southerling said.
