Law360 covered the recent arrival of Atlanta healthcare partner Kristen McDermott Woodrum in a Feb. 15, 2022, story.
Woodrum is an accomplished lawyer and strategic adviser with more than 16 years of experience representing healthcare providers and investors. She advises clients from private equity investors to healthcare providers on transactions, joint ventures, and operational and compliance issues.
She told Law360 that she’s eager to work for a team with a “powerful profile.”
“There is a lot of exciting investment and innovation happening in healthcare that is really unprecedented, and it’s exciting to be with a team that really has their finger on the pulse of healthcare trends and to be part of transactions that clients are structuring, navigating complicated healthcare laws, to achieve new healthcare alignment and transaction models,” Woodrum told the publication.
Holly Buckley, chair of McGuireWoods’ Healthcare Department, noted that Woodrum enhances the firm’s strengths in healthcare and private equity.
“Kristen is a very accomplished and experienced practitioner, and she brings a lot of depth in certain areas such as value-based care, behavioral health, and hospital and health systems,” Buckley told Law360.
Woodrum’s move to McGuireWoods also was noted in Bloomberg Law’s Feb. 16, 2022, Wake Up Call column and by Fierce Healthcare, Healthcare Business Today and Corporate Counsel Business Journal.
