Law360 and The American Lawyer were among the news outlets that covered the recent arrival of Richmond partners W. Lake Taylor Jr. and Lawton B. Way, who joined the firm’s Securities & Capital Markets Department.
Taylor and Way bring a wealth of experience representing Fortune 500 companies in debt and equity offerings, corporate governance, and M&A deals.
“I don’t think that our practices will change,” Taylor told Law360 in a story published Sept. 6, 2022. “We’re still going to do what we’ve been doing since we started: continuing to deliver high levels of client service, being responsive, being dependable and providing practical advice to our clients.”
The partners said they are closely monitoring several new and proposed U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission regulations, including the recently adopted pay-versus-performance rule, universal proxy card changes to shareholder voting, and proposed requirements for climate change-related disclosures.
The American Lawyer covered the arrivals of Taylor and Way in a Sept. 7, 2022, story. The news also appeared in Bloomberg Law’s Wake Up Call column; in Reuters’ legal news roundup, The Daily Docket; and in Richmond BizSense’s weekly professional moves column, The Herd.
Announcements also appeared in The Deal, ABL Advisor and Asset Servicing Times.
