Law360, Bloomberg Law, Family Wealth Report and the Global Legal Chronicle were among the media outlets that reported the recent arrival of McGuireWoods New York partner Helen Gavaris.
Gavaris joined McGuireWoods’ fiduciary litigation team, where she advises corporate fiduciaries in contested accounting and related proceedings involving trust diversification issues, charitable trusts, and the valuation and sale of nonpublic companies.
Gavaris brings over three decades of experience representing corporate fiduciaries and high-net-worth individuals in complex disputes. She joins a team of fiduciary litigators who serve as lead counsel for national, regional and local banks and other financial services clients across the country. The team works closely with the firm’s highly ranked private wealth services group.
“Everything that McGuireWoods does in the fiduciary space dovetails with what I do in that area,” Gavaris told Law360 in an interview.
Gavaris’ arrival also was noted in Bloomberg Law’s “Wake Up Call” column and in Reuters’ “Daily Docket.”
