Law360, National Legal Journal, Bloomberg Law, Global Legal Post and Global Legal Chronicle were among the international media outlets that covered the return of McGuireWoods Washington, D.C. partner David Martin Connelly.
Connelly, a nationally recognized energy regulatory lawyer with more than 25 years of experience representing electric utilities and other industry clients before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and U.S. Courts of Appeals, rejoined McGuireWoods from Balch & Bingham, LLP. He was a partner at McGuireWoods from 2012 to 2017 and before that was senior counsel at Dominion Energy.
Connelly told Law360 in its Oct. 10, 2024, story that he was drawn to McGuireWoods by the depth and breadth of the firm’s energy practice, its team-oriented approach to client service and its continued growth in D.C. Connelly said this is an exciting time for the industry and his practice because the industry is grappling with the complexities of building out the transmission grid and electric transmission issues have been a focus of his practice for 25 years.
