Law360, Bloomberg Law, The Bond Buyer, Securities Docket and the New York Law Journal were among the media outlets that covered the recent arrival of counsel Jackie Wells, who joined McGuireWoods’ Securities Enforcement and Regulatory Counseling Practice in New York.
Wells joined the firm after serving as a director in the Enforcement Department of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). At McGuireWoods, she counsels companies and individuals in the financial services sector — including broker-dealers and investment advisers — in securities regulatory compliance and enforcement matters.
“McGuireWoods is a national leader in securities enforcement defense and regulatory counseling,” Wells told Law360 in a Feb. 6, 2024, story. “The wealth of talent the firm has recruited in recent years — including my FINRA colleague Todd Beaton last year — has made the team even stronger. We have a deep bench of attorneys with in-depth knowledge of the evolving regulatory framework, different business models and the internal workings of regulators. This is a perfect fit for my practice.”
