McGuireWoods Expands Atlanta Office with New Hires

Attorneys and Staff from Atlanta Firm to Join McGuireWoods

McGuireWoods LLP announced that it is welcoming three new partners, two associates, a paralegal and a professional from McGuireWoods Consulting to the firm’s Atlanta office, significantly expanding the depth of experience and highlighting the firm’s growing platform in the Atlanta market. Among the partners coming to McGuireWoods include the two name partners from the Atlanta firm of Phears and Moldovan, Wayne H. Phears and Victor L. Moldovan. Associates, staff and clients from the firm are also joining McGuireWoods as Phears and Moldovan closes its doors in Atlanta. A third partner is joining the firm today, Andrew Hough, comes to McGuireWoods from the Atlanta firm of Powell Goldstein.

McGuireWoods Consulting, a subsidiary of the law firm, is also expanding its presence in Atlanta with the hire of Ashley Harris. Harris comes to McGuireWoods Consulting from Waste Management, where she was the director of government relations and supported lobbying efforts for the company in several states.

Wayne Phears joins the firm after representing clients for more than 30 years. He has extensive experience in matters related to healthcare, zoning, mining/quarries and anti trust law. Victor Moldovan comes to McGuireWoods, with extensive experience in representing health care, as well as other clients, in transactional, regulatory and litigation matters.

Andrew Hough will join the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions, Securities & Corporate Services department, where he brings experience representing clients in matters related to public and private offerings of equity and debt service, as well as a broad range of complex commercial transactions, including partnerships and joint ventures.
