Charlotte partner Robert Muckenfuss recently negotiated NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer’s deal to take over as driver of the No. 14 car at Stewart-Haas Racing in 2017. Tony Stewart, current driver of the No. 14 car and co-owner of Stewart-Haas Racing, this week announced his retirement as a driver after the 2016 season. Muckenfuss spent months negotiating Bowyer’s deal with Stewart-Haas and handled Bowyer’s exit from his current team, Michael Waltrip Racing. Bowyer has eight victories in NASCAR’s premier Sprint Cup series – three with the Waltrip team and five from 2006-2011 with Richard Childress Racing.
