Forty-one McGuireWoods lawyers from five offices were selected by their professional peers to be included in Virginia Business magazine’s 2015 Legal Elite, which was published in the December issue. Richmond Office Managing Partner George K. Martin is featured as a top lawyer in the Construction Law category, one of just 18 lawyers so recognized.
Notably, McGuireWoods has the most lawyers listed in the Legal Elite categories of Criminal Law and Environmental Law of any firm in the state, with four in each category. In addition, the firm has six lawyers ranked in Taxes/Estates/Trusts/Elder Law and four lawyers listed in Civil Litigation. Overall, McGuireWoods lawyers are represented in 15 Legal Elite categories. The total number of McGuireWoods lawyers named to this year’s Legal Elite is four more than the firm placed on last year’s list.
Virginia Business publishes the Legal Elite list annually in collaboration with the Virginia Bar Association. More than 1,200 lawyers participated in this year’s balloting, submitting more than 3,800 nominations in various categories. The magazine selected 992 lawyers for inclusion on the 2015 Legal Elite list.
