McGuireWoods’ Brussels international trade team was recognized in Chambers and Partners’ 2017 Global Guide, the authoritative annual rankings based on matters submitted by the firm and on clients’ anonymous feedback.
“[T]he trade team is a highly experienced and cohesive unit,” one client observed. It “perfectly combines professional knowledge, efficient approaches in new cases and client service,” added another. It is at least the third year in a row that Chambers Global has ranked the practice.
McGuireWoods also was ranked in the energy/electricity – regulatory and litigation category.
Clients singled out Brussels partners Vassilis Akritidis and Yves Melin for outstanding international trade work. Other ranked individual lawyers were Washington, D.C., partners George J. Terwilliger (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, USA) and Todd Mullins and Noel Symons (Energy & Natural Resources, USA), as well as Chicago partner Timothy P. Callahan (Projects, USA).
Chambers recognized partner Hubert André-Dumont as a Belgium-based expert on the Democratic Republic of Congo and London counsel Anders Grundberg as a UK-based expert on Sweden.
