McGuireWoods again ranked among the top 10 law firms in several highly respected midyear league tables for mergers and acquisitions published by Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters.
For the first half of 2017, McGuireWoods ranked eighth by deal count for transactions up to $500 million in Bloomberg’s M&A Mid-Market Review for advising clients in 56 U.S. deals valued at $1.221 billion. The firm also ranked eighth in transactions up to $250 million with 55 deals totaling $921 million. McGuireWoods posted strong showings in Bloomberg’s Global M&A Market Review, placing 13th and 15th in two categories for U.S.-announced deals.
In Thomson Reuters’ midyear Mid-Market M&A Review, McGuireWoods ranked seventh by deal count with 57 mid-market deals up to $500 million for U.S. targets. The firm also is among the top 25 firms by deal count with 61 worldwide transactions of the same value. And the firm is No. 10 by deal count in Thomson Reuters’ Global Mergers & Acquisitions Review with 54 deals for U.S. targets.
