McGuireWoods has appointed Christopher Greene, an accomplished leveraged finance lawyer, as managing partner of the firm’s Atlanta office. He assumes his duties Aug. 1.
Greene represents agents, lenders and borrowers across industries in syndicated and bilateral finance transactions, including working capital lines of credit and leveraged buyouts, with a focus on the healthcare and life sciences sectors. He advises on transactions in the areas of senior care, physician practice management, early-stage life sciences companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributers, and hospital and other provider organizations. He also chairs the life sciences subgroup of McGuireWoods’ healthcare and life sciences industry team.
His work has earned him recognition for banking and finance law in the prestigious Chambers USA guide and in The Best Lawyers in America. Greene also is a frequent speaker at McGuireWoods’ annual Healthcare and Life Sciences Private Equity and Finance Conference.

Greene grew up in the Atlanta area and attended the University of Georgia for both undergraduate studies and law school, earning a B.B.A. in accounting and a J.D. He graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was a notes editor of the Georgia Law Review.
