McGuireWoods has been recognized in BTI Consulting Group’s Most Recommended Law Firms report for the 17th year in a row, a distinction only nine firms share. The recognition is based on unprompted responses from corporate counsel willing to bet their reputations when recommending specific firms to their peers.
This year’s list is based on information provided by 350 senior legal decision makers at large companies with more than $1 billion in annual revenue. Most corporate counsel hire a law firm based on a single recommendation from a peer, and superior client service is the leading driver of those recommendations, the BTI report says. Key components of superior service noted in the report include meeting client-targeted objectives even as they evolve, understanding clients’ businesses, providing key information and insights before being asked, delivering higher-than-expected value, and bringing certainty in fees and deliverables.
McGuireWoods shines repeatedly in BTI’s client service analyses. The firm is one of only 11 to make BTI’s coveted “Client Service 30” list at least 10 times and it was rated among the top five firms with the strongest client relationships in BTI’s Industry Power Rankings in each of the past two years.
“There’s no greater honor than earning our clients’ recommendation as a trusted adviser,” said J. Tracy Walker IV, McGuireWoods’ managing partner. “We are dedicated to providing unparalleled service by understanding our clients’ businesses and industries and adding value through innovative legal solutions, and we are grateful for the confidence they place in us.”
