With a strong presence in the Research Triangle, one of the fastest-growing and most vibrant areas in the country, McGuireWoods has relocated its Raleigh office to the newly built FNB Tower, a premier 22-story property situated in the Fayetteville Street downtown business district.
Effective Jan. 27, 2020, the firm occupies two floors in the brand-new building for a total of 41,375 square feet. The move gives McGuireWoods more than 12,000 additional square feet for its lawyers and professional staff and accommodates future growth.
“Our new office space incorporates state-of-the-art technology and design elements, allowing us to better meet our clients’ needs,” said Raleigh office managing partner Mary Nash Rusher. “We look forward to welcoming clients and friends to this prime downtown location.” FNB Tower is close to the Raleigh Convention Center, Marriott City Center and Duke Energy Performing Arts Center.
The firm’s Raleigh lawyers bring a depth of experience across industries in litigation, regulatory matters, private equity and finance, public finance and private wealth services. The Raleigh office also houses the North Carolina branch of the law firm’s full-service public affairs subsidiary, McGuireWoods Consulting, which has extensive knowledge in state, local and executive branch lobbying, grassroots campaigns, strategic communications, regulatory compliance, and infrastructure and economic development.
Since the firm established its Raleigh office more than a decade ago, its lawyers and professional staff have served in leadership roles and volunteer in local organizations such as the YMCA of the Triangle Area, Carolina Chapter of the MS Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle, Hospice of Wake County and Leadership Raleigh, among others.
