McGuireWoods real estate partners Dennis Mensi and Alice Youngbar have been selected as a “top team” for the Influencers in Multifamily Real Estate series by the 2020 GlobeSt Real Estate Forum. They are featured with other leaders in the commercial real estate industry in the October multifamily/career issue of GlobeSt, an ALM publication.
Mensi and Youngbar practice in McGuireWoods’ New York and Century City offices, respectively, and co-lead a team that focuses on representing lenders in the financing of multifamily properties through the Fannie Mae Delegated Underwriting & Servicing program and the Freddie Mac Optigo program. They also represent clients in connection with affordable housing, green financing, moderate rehabilitation, student housing and manufactured housing loan programs, including properties financed under Freddie Mac Targeted Affordable Housing and Fannie Mae Multifamily Affordable Housing guidelines.
In addition to multifamily agency transactions, the team represents commercial, investment, regional and local banks, as well as insurance companies, funds and other financial institutions in connection with the origination of commercial mortgage loans generally intended for sale on the secondary market. Such loans include permanent, bridge and construction loans; mezzanine financings; and credit facilities and split loan structures secured by all asset classes, such as retail, office, hotel, mixed use and industrial.
“Dennis and Alice are renowned for leading complex real estate financings from coast to coast,” said John Grieb, chair of McGuireWoods’ Real Estate & Land Use Department. “We couldn’t be prouder that they are recognized as industry leaders.”
McGuireWoods’ real estate group represents investors, developers, financial institutions and Fortune 100 companies in matters throughout the United States and abroad.
