Rebecca Levinson, counsel in McGuireWoods’ IP Litigation & Transactions Department in Washington, D.C., will join client Arm Inc. as senior IP counsel on Oct. 26, 2020. In her new role, she will manage patent prosecution and support Arm’s business and litigation needs.
Levinson, a registered patent attorney, counsels clients on intellectual property, data privacy and cybersecurity matters. Her litigation experience covers a range of technologies, including microprocessors, graphics processors, semiconductor devices and digital imaging. For nearly a decade, she also has represented clients in International Trade Commission investigations. Prior to joining McGuireWoods, she served as an attorney-adviser in the ITC’s Office of the Administrative Law Judges.
“McGuireWoods is a special place and I’ve appreciated every opportunity to expand my practice. I look forward to continuing my relationship with the firm,” said Levinson, whose last day is Oct. 23. She joined McGuireWoods in 2017.
“For the past three years, Rebecca has been an invaluable part of the Arm legal team. While we are sad to see her go, we are delighted that we will continue to have the opportunity to work with her as part of the Arm in-house team,” said Houston partner Tyler VanHoutan, who leads McGuireWoods’ Arm representation. Arm, a global leader in semiconductor design, has been a firm client since 2017.
