McGuireWoods Dallas attorney Tatiana Alexander will join Citi on Oct. 19, 2020, as assistant general counsel. In this role, she will advise on legal matters related to servicing credit card accounts. Her last day at McGuireWoods is Oct. 9.
Alexander joined the firm’s Complex Commercial Litigation Department in 2017, bringing significant experience in the consumer financial services industry. At McGuireWoods, she represents financial institutions and loan servicers in cases concerning secured and unsecured debts, including mortgage, auto, equipment and credit finance. She defends clients against claims alleging violation of state and federal consumer laws and represents lenders and servicers in consumer bankruptcy actions.
Alexander serves as chair for the J.L. Turner Legal Association’s Annual Scholarship and Awards Gala, which raises more than $25,000 annually to support deserving law school students.
“The past three years at McGuireWoods have challenged me as an attorney and helped further prepare me for my new role at Citi,” said Alexander. “I am thankful to McGuireWoods, my colleagues and staff for their support and encouragement over the years. I am excited about the next phase of my career and wish all the best for the McGuireWoods family.”
“Tatiana has been a valuable member of our department throughout her tenure at the firm,” said Robert Muckenfuss, who chairs McGuireWoods’ Complex Commercial Litigation Department. “She is a talented attorney and will be successful at Citi.”
