McGuireWoods partners Sabrina A. Beldner, Meghaan C. Madriz, Bruce M. Steen and Jacquelyn E. Beldner chairs McGuireWoods’ Labor & Employment Department. Based in the firm’s Los Angeles-Century City office, she represents clients in employment-related individual, class, representative and collective action claims and labor law matters. She also conducts high-level employee misconduct investigations and management training on preventing workplace harassment, discrimination and retaliation.
Madriz, based in Houston, advises clients on labor and employment law matters, including wage and hour disputes, Department of Labor investigations, class and collective actions, discrimination claims, and trade secret and noncompete disputes. She also handles unfair competition and misappropriation of trade secrets litigation.
Steen, a Charlotte partner, is the firm’s general counsel and former chair of the Labor & Employment Department. He litigates collective and class action claims and defends clients against employee claims asserting wrongful termination, breach of contract, unlawful harassment, discrimination and retaliation. In addition, he represents ERISA welfare and pension benefits plans in single and multi-plaintiff benefits disputes.
Stone, based in Richmond, assists companies in immigration-related matters, including employment-based visas for employees of multinational companies, engineers, physicians, lawyers, architects, teachers, professors and research scientists. She also helps foreign companies and organizations establish U.S. operations and coordinate the transfer of key executives. She is a partner in the firm’s Securities & Capital Markets Department.
