Kayla Marshall, an associate in McGuireWoods’ Business & Securities Litigation Department, will join Capital One’s Card Legal Department in July. In her new role, she will advise on legal issues related to its credit card products. Her last day at the firm was June 30, 2021.
Since joining McGuireWoods in 2016, Marshall has handled financial services and commercial litigation. She represents financial institutions in actions involving consumer lending, credit reporting, debt collection and unfair business practices.
Marshall’s thought leadership includes McGuireWoods articles and webinars on topics tied to Payroll Protection Program litigation and lenders, trade secret misappropriation and developments within the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
“I am supremely grateful for my time at McGuireWoods. In addition to providing me with the opportunity to develop valuable legal skills that will help me succeed in my new role, I worked with talented and supportive colleagues,” Marshall said. “I look forward to the next step in my career as well as to maintaining the strong relationships I have developed at McGuireWoods over the past five years.”
“Kayla has been an asset to our team during her tenure with the firm,” said partner Jonathan Blank, chair of McGuireWoods’ Business & Securities Litigation Department. “We wish her all the best in her new role.”
