Gov. Glenn Youngkin appointed McGuireWoods Richmond partner Douglas Lamb to the commonwealth’s 14-member Clean Energy Advisory Board.
Lamb co-leads McGuireWoods’ infrastructure and public-private partnership initiative and formerly served on the firm’s opinions committee and as head of the biomass and the renewable energy teams. He advises on structuring and financing projects in the renewable energy, resource recovery, energy efficiency, economic development, transportation and social infrastructure sectors throughout the United States. Lamb also works with clients on their energy and environmental sustainability goals and on innovative project financings.
In the 2023 edition of “The Best Lawyers in America,” Lamb was named Richmond’s “Lawyer of the Year” for energy law.
“I am honored to join the Virginia Clean Energy Advisory Board and look forward to working with my fellow board members to make solar infrastructure more accessible for households across the commonwealth,” Lamb said.
Created in 2019, the board is tasked with establishing a pilot program for disbursing loans and rebates for installing solar energy infrastructure in low-income and moderate-income households.
