The Los Angeles Business Journal has honored McGuireWoods partner Sabrina A. Beldner in its “Leaders of Influence – Labor & Employment Attorneys” publication, the second year in a row she has been recognized as one of the region’s top practitioners in labor and employment law.
Beldner, chair of McGuireWoods’ Labor & Employment Department, earned national acclaim for representing employers in high-stakes discrimination, wage-and-hour, and traditional labor litigation.
Beldner represents national and multinational companies in individual, class, and representative action claims and labor law matters and conducts high-level employee misconduct investigations and management training on preventing workplace harassment, discrimination and retaliation. She counsels management in collective-bargaining negotiations, labor arbitrations and unfair labor practice proceedings. She also advises management on union avoidance, union campaigns and collective-bargaining issues.
Under Beldner’s leadership as department chair, McGuireWoods consistently earns Tier 1 nationwide rankings for employment law and labor and employment litigation in U.S. News-Best Lawyers’ “Best Law Firms.”
Beldner, former chair of McGuireWoods’ LGBTQ+ Lawyers Network, is a mentor with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity. She sits on the firm’s Los Angeles recruiting committee.
“I am honored to receive this recognition and grateful to my clients and McGuireWoods colleagues for making this work so fulfilling,” Beldner said.
Among her many accolades, The National Law Journal recently named Beldner an Employment and Discrimination Law Trailblazer. In addition, she has been selected for the Daily Journal’s list of Top Labor & Employment Lawyers in California for three consecutive years. She was named Labor & Employment Lawyer of the Year in Euromoney’s 2022 Women in Business Law Awards: Americas, and Lawdragon has named her to its list of 500 Leading Corporate Employment Lawyers of America each year since 2020.
