McGuireWoods’ Kayla McCann Marty and Scott Rader are winners of The M&A Advisor’s 2023 Emerging Leaders Awards, which honor young professionals for success in mergers and acquisitions, turnarounds and financing.
Marty, a partner in Charlotte, handles healthcare transactions and regulatory matters. She focuses on strategic transactions and regulatory counseling for private equity funds and their portfolio companies, as well as for surgery centers, independent medical practices and hospitals.
She also counsels clients on matters including corporate structuring, corporate practice of medicine, licensing, fraud and abuse, and HIPAA issues.
Rader, a partner in New York, represents lenders financing multifamily properties throughout the country, with an emphasis on affordable housing transactions under Fannie Mae’s Multifamily Affordable Housing and Freddie Mac’s Targeted Affordable Housing guidelines.
He also represents portfolio lenders and insurance companies in connection with the origination of bridge loans to finance renovation and stabilization of multifamily properties that do not qualify for agency financing.
“These awards are a tribute to Kayla’s and Scott’s skill and dedication to their clients. We congratulate them for this recognition,” said Richard W. Viola, deputy managing partner of McGuireWoods’ corporate practice.
The M&A Advisor will recognize winners at the 2023 Leadership in Dealmaking Summit, to be held Sept. 19-20 in New York City.
McGuireWoods consistently ranks among the leading law firms for U.S. M&A deals and its energy and transactional capabilities earned nationwide recognition from Chambers USA and The Legal 500. The firm also was a finalist in six deal categories for the 2022 M&A Advisor Awards, which recognized top corporate transactions and the firms involved in closing them.
