Chambers and Partners has again recognized McGuireWoods as one of the top private wealth services firms in the United States in its High Net Worth Guide. McGuireWoods earned a nationwide ranking — as it has each year since the guide’s 2016 launch — and ratings for Virginia, North Carolina and the District of Columbia.
Chambers also selected partners Michael Barker, Ben Candland, Jean Gordon Carter, Kristen Frances Hager, Meghan Gehr Hubbard, Michele McKinnon, Bradley Ridlehoover, William Sanderson and Gino Zaccardelli for individual honors.
Carter and McKinnon again earned Band 1 state rankings, the highest Chambers awards. The firm received Band 1 state rankings for Virginia and North Carolina.
In interviews with Chambers researchers, clients lauded the firm’s lawyers for their knowledge and responsiveness.
“McGuireWoods’ insight and technical depth is second to none,” one client said.
Another client added: “Every attorney I have worked with at McGuireWoods has shown much aptitude when dealing with complex matters.”
McGuireWoods’ private wealth lawyers advise high-net-worth clients, nonprofits, fiduciaries and businesses in tax and wealth planning and are influential voices in shaping U.S. tax policy.
“McGuireWoods has a longstanding reputation for excellence in private wealth law and we are proud that Chambers has again recognized our lawyers for their leadership and dedication to clients,” said Stephen Murphy, leader of the firm’s private wealth services group.
