North Carolina Lawyers Weekly selected McGuireWoods Charlotte partner Sabrina Conyers for its 2024 class of Leaders in the Law honoring attorneys’ outstanding contributions to the legal profession and their local communities. The honorees will be feted at an April 25 event in Raleigh.
Conyers advises clients on domestic and international tax transaction planning, as well as on corporate, corporate governance, private equity, and real estate finance issues. She represents public and private corporations, investment banks, private equity funds and other private companies. Conyers also chairs the firm’s African American Lawyers Network.
Conyers holds leadership roles within the tax bar, including co-chair of the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance Tax Section and vice chair of the American Bar Association Tax Section’s Real Estate Committee.
Among her many honors, The American Lawyer named Conyers a “Dealmaker of the Year” and Law360 recognized her as a “Tax MVP.”
“Sabrina is a highly respected lawyer, influential leader and generous colleague and she is very deserving of this recognition,” said Brian Kahn, managing partner of McGuireWoods’ Charlotte office.
Conyers added: “I am honored to be included in this class of distinguished lawyers and grateful to McGuireWoods and our clients for their support.”
