Marcuss defends employers in complex class and collective actions and whistleblower claims, as well as other federal and state lawsuits and administrative agency actions, including Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs and Department of Labor matters. She also conducts investigations of concerns raised by current and former employees.
In addition to her law practice, Marcuss serves on the boards of directors for Health Care for the Homeless and the Maryland Chamber of Commerce.
The Employment Law Power List was curated by an editorial leadership team and informed by input from readers and legal professionals. Marcuss and her fellow honorees shared insights on their profession and their most significant achievements.
“The role of an attorney, regardless of specialty, is that of problem solver,” Marcuss told The Daily Record in a May 31, 2024, article. “And to be effective in that role, the attorney must understand and care about what is truly motivating both the client and any adversary or counterparty.”
McGuireWoods consistently earns Tier 1 nationwide rankings for employment law and labor and employment litigation in U.S. News-Best Lawyers’ “Best Law Firms” and nationwide rankings for labor and employment law in Chambers USA.
