Chambers again ranked McGuireWoods in the Energy: Electricity (Transactional) and Energy: Electricity (Regulatory & Litigation) categories, highlighting the depth and breadth of the firm’s experience in these areas. Partners David Martin Connelly, Julia English, Katlyn Davis Farrell, Joanne Katsantonis, Brian Kelly, Todd Mullins and Noel Symons earned individual rankings, with Chambers researchers citing strong client and industry feedback.
The guide praised McGuireWoods’ energy team for its “significant strengths across regulatory work in the power space.”

McGuireWoods also earned a practice ranking in the Projects: Power & Renewables: Transactional category, with partner Michael Woodard receiving individual recognition in the same practice area. Additionally, partner Timothy Callahan was ranked in the Projects: Renewables and Alternative Energy category.
The firm earned a U.S. ranking in the Employment category and Daniel L. Peyton, managing partner of McGuireWoods’ London office, received an individual ranking in the same category.
McGuireWoods also garnered U.S. practice rankings in Banking & Finance and Bankruptcy/Restructuring. Chambers cited the firm’s experience representing commercial banks in complex syndicated financing deals as well as restructurings, workouts and insolvency-related matters.
Partners Steven McCool and Eric Snyder earned individual rankings for their litigation prowess. McCool was ranked in Litigation: Trial Lawyers and Snyder was ranked in Corporate Crimes & Investigations (Latin America – International Counsel).
