McGuireWoods Advises Falfurrias Capital Partners in Sale of Sauer Brands to Advent International

McGuireWoods advised Charlotte, North Carolina-based private equity firm Falfurrias Capital Partners and its portfolio company, Sauer Brands, in Sauer Brands’ acquisition by Advent International, a global private equity investor. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Partner Chris Nesbit led the McGuireWoods deal team, which included partner Matthew L.C. Cox and associates Jake Mihalkanin, Abigail Maner, Jessica Blau, Maxwell Willinger and Nicole Dalrymple. Partner Gerald V. Thomas II and Janelle Darnell advised on tax matters.

McGuireWoods has served as legal adviser to Falfurrias since its 2006 founding. Falfurrias has since grown to become one of North Carolina’s largest private equity buyout firms. McGuireWoods represented Falfurrias in its 2019 acquisition of Sauer Brands, whose products include the iconic Duke’s Mayo.
