Alex is a member of the firm’s complex commercial litigation team and assists corporate clients in a variety of litigation matters, with a focus on insurance recovery. Alex’s experience includes handling all aspects of litigation in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels, and before arbitration panels nationwide.

Alex represents corporate clients in all aspects of insurance coverage and related commercial disputes. Alex has substantial experience relating to various lines of coverage, including CGL, D&O, E&O, RWI, property, cyber, and fidelity, among others. In connection with his insurance coverage practice, Alex has first-chair experience taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, and managing complex discovery projects.

Alex also litigates complex commercial disputes involving allegations of breach of contract, tort, consumer fraud. Among other matters, Alex has represented a major online publisher in connection with allegations of breach of LLC and services agreements, and a regional property developer in connection with a class action involving allegations consumer fraud.

Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Alex clerked for two federal judges in the District of New Jersey, and a justice in the Commercial Division of the New York state court system. More recently, Alex practiced as an attorney at national and international law firms with a focus on insurance coverage counseling and litigation.
