Heather is a lawyer in the firm’s Chicago office who focuses on antitrust litigation and government investigations. Heather also specializes in complex commercial litigation and consumer class action defense.

Heather is adept at handling a wide array of high-stakes litigation matters, from intricate commercial disputes to defending clients in product liability cases involving significant risk and regulatory scrutiny.

Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Heather was an associate at another international law firm where she practiced complex commercial litigation and products liability. During law school, Heather participated in the Michigan Law Veterans Legal Clinic, where she represented veterans who primarily live in southeastern Michigan with legal issues. She also served as an articles editor for the Michigan Business & Entrepreneurial Law Review.

Experience

  • Represented poultry company in putative antitrust class actions brought by direct and indirect poultry purchasers as well as dozens of additional direct action poultry purchasers alleging conspiracy to reduce output and raise prices of broiler chickens.
  • Represented data analytics company in tortious interference action arising out of competitor’s poaching of artificial intelligence engineering team.
  • Represented automobile manufacturer in multiple cases alleging diesel emissions defects.
  • Represented large retailer in commercial and financial restructuring, including successfully defeating a preliminary injunction by a buyer attempting to back out of a $12 million asset sale on the eve of closing.
