Matt received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Juris Doctorate from the Duke University School of Law.

- Represented Charlotte-based private equity fund in its acquisition of several target companies, including an industrial machine knives, blades, punches and related equipment company, an accounting, capital markets, financial modeling and valuation training company, an information technology and software development company, an analytics and research company and a condiments, spices, seasonings and extracts company, including related add-on acquisitions for the foregoing.
- Represented Charlotte-based private equity fund in its sale of several portfolio companies, including a software and automation systems integration and engineering design company, a credit-risk assessment company, a safe access and productivity solutions company, a data analytics software, services and consulting company, a driver safety, workplace safety and continuing education services company, a compliance software and solutions provider for the financial services industry, and a marketing agency for senior living communities.
- Represented Charlotte-based private equity fund in its acquisition of several companies, including a calibration and measurement services, maintenance and repair company, a children’s swimwear, apparel and accessories company and a technology consulting firm, and its sale of a parts and repairs company.
- Represented Charlotte-based private equity fund in its acquisition of technology and integrated solutions, equipment and maintenance company.
- Represented Charlotte-based food service management and support services company in its equity investment in a catering services company and in a facilities support management company.
- Represented wireless telecommunications company in its acquisition of several companies, including a wireless solutions provider, a wireless integrator and a telecommunications provider for the commercial and public safety industry.
- Represented multiple private companies in general corporate and governance matters.
