Max focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions and corporate advisory matters with an emphasis on energy transactions.
Max received his J.D., magna cum laude, from William & Mary Law School, where he served as articles editor of the William & Mary Law Review. During law school, Max was elected president of the Student Bar Association, the Law School’s student government organization. For his service to the law school community, Max was presented with the Cypher Award, which recognizes graduating students with exemplary engagement, leadership, and service to William & Mary.
Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Max served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Cleo E. Powell of the Supreme Court of Virginia.
