Amy is a go-to litigator in the Chicago office who handles civil and criminal antitrust matters, complex commercial litigation, and consumer class action litigation. Amy also represents corporate and individual clients in government investigations. Amy has significant experience litigating matters relating to consumer protection statutes, particularly the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and provides compliance counseling regarding the same.
Amy’s recent antitrust engagements include representing a healthcare client as a plaintiff in antitrust litigation alleging unlawful exclusive dealing relating to the supply of an active pharmaceutical ingredient and defense of an individual in an investigation brought by the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. In commercial litigation, Amy recently represented a prominent data and analytics client in a contractual dispute and defended financial services companies in consumer class actions. Amy also recently conducted internal investigations for higher education institutions and local government entities.
Amy is active in the Antitrust Section of the American Bar Association, currently serving as Vice Chair for the Women.Connected Committee, which is committed to elevating women in the antitrust bar and beyond, and formerly serving as a Young Lawyer Representative for the Membership & Diversity Committee and the Cartel and Criminal Practice Committee.
Actively involved in pro bono work at the firm, Amy was a member of a team of McGuireWoods attorneys that received an Award for Excellence in Pro Bono Service from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association for their work in a federal civil rights suit.
Amy is an active member of the firm’s Chicago Recruiting Committee.
