Varsha focuses her practice on the healthcare industry, counseling clients on regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters.
Varsha regularly advises a variety of healthcare clients, including hospitals, health systems, physician groups, management service organizations, ambulatory surgical centers, and dentists. She counsels clients on structuring transactions consistent with the federal Anti-Kickback Statute, the Physician Self-Referral (Stark) Law, and state fraud and abuse regulations. Varsha also provides day-to-day regulatory advice related to the corporate practice of medicine and fee-splitting prohibitions, Medicare participation, state licensure, and telemedicine.
Varsha has had a longtime interest in the healthcare industry. Prior to her legal career, she received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health and worked as a healthcare consultant, assisting hospitals with revenue cycle management.
