Craig has extensive experience in analyzing and pursuing coverage under both first-party and third-party liability insurance programs. His advocacy has resulted in significant loss payments covering a wide range of commercial risks. He has successfully handled claims involving directors & officers, professional liability, cybersecurity, employment practices liability, media liability, crime/fidelity, fiduciary liability, commercial general liability, pollution liability, builder’s risk, and commercial property policies. Additionally, Craig routinely advises clients on specialized or “manuscript” insurance policies, such as those covering large-scale construction projects and complex securities claims against private equity firms and affiliates under asset management insurance programs. Through mediation and pre-litigation dispute resolution, he has secured settlements in the seven and eight-digit range fully funded by financial lines insurance companies.

As a seasoned litigator, Craig has successfully prosecuted coverage actions against liability insurers in state and federal courts for breach of the duty to defend and indemnify, including recovering damages for “bad faith” claims handling and settlement practices. His litigation efforts have resulted in multimillion-dollar judgments requiring insurers to reimburse defense costs, settlements and judgments. Craig has represented clients in a wide array of insurance coverage disputes, including losses arising from complex mass tort claims with hundreds of claimants and policies at issue.

Throughout his career, Craig has been a trusted advisor on coverage issues for Fortune 500 companies, publicly traded companies, “unicorn” startups, and privately held firms across various sectors, including finance, investment management, energy, education, information technology, real estate, healthcare, telecommunications, manufacturing, food, and consumer brands.

Craig frequently writes and speaks on insurance law topics and recovery strategies for corporate insureds. He is licensed to practice in California and New York and was elected Sub-District Four Director for the Eagle Rock Neighborhood Council in 2020. He is also a proud father of three children.
