Caroline’s practice focuses on the area of public finance transactions. She serves as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, or issuer’s counsel on primarily tax-exempt bond issues, including non-profit and governmental bond financing.
Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Caroline served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joi J. Taylor, the Honorable Jacqueline S. McClenney, and the Honorable W. Reilly Marchant of the Richmond Circuit Court. While in law school, Caroline interned for the Honorable David J. Novak at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Richmond Division and served as an Articles Editor for the University of Richmond Law Review. Upon graduation, she received the Orrell-Brown Award for Excellence in the Children’s Law Center.
Prior to law school, Caroline worked as a research assistant in McGuireWoods Consulting’s Federal Public Affairs and Virginia State Government Relations groups. She assisted clients with legislative monitoring and research projects.
