A distinguished member of the firm’s Insurance Recovery practice, Chris has extensive experience in litigation across state and federal courts nationwide, and in arbitration proceedings in both the United Kingdom and the United States. He represents insured clients in claims under crime, cyber, directors and officers liability, first-party property, commercial general liability, homeowners, and disability insurance policies. Beyond insurance coverage, Chris handles a wide array of legal matters, including breach of contract, fraud, unfair competition, and intellectual property claims.

Chris’s practice spans a wide number of industries, including technology, sports, entertainment, food and beverage, defense, financial services, and public utilities.

As a part of his Insurance Recovery practice, Chris frequently handles appellate matters and has achieved significant appellate victories in courts throughout the country. He has successfully represented clients in appeals in the First, Second, and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeals and in the Vermont and Delaware Supreme Courts. Chris has also drafted amicus briefs on behalf of a non-profit policyholder rights advocate, including a brief before the United States Supreme Court.

Chris has been recognized in Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in Southern California and has been named to the Benchmark Litigation “40 & Under List.”

Outside of his legal practice, Chris is an avid UCLA Bruins fan and enjoys learning about developments across all fields of technology.

  • Representing public figure in federal court seeking coverage for defense costs under homeowners policy for defamation claims.
  • Representing professional sports franchise on multiple coverage matters, including claims under cyber insurance policies and CGL policies.
  • Represented world’s largest plastic pipe manufacturer seeking coverage for property damage and business interruption losses suffered as a result of Hurricane Harvey, obtaining a favorable settlement shortly before trial.
  • Represented major film and television production and distribution company across several matters seeking coverage for losses resulting from production stoppages due to SARS-CoV-2 and Covid-19, implementation of Covid protocols, and additional delays in production due to the pandemic.
