Tyra focuses her practice on commercial litigation, representing corporate clients through litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
Before joining McGuireWoods, Tyra earned her JD from The University of North Carolina School of Law, where she served as a board officer for the Black Law Student Association and a staff member for the First Amendment Law Review. While in law school, Tyra also served as an Honors Writing Scholar for incoming law students. Additionally, Tyra was a member of the national team for Holderness Moot Court and was selected to become a member of The Order of Barristers for her excellence in oral advocacy and writing skills.
