Alexis focuses her practice on the healthcare industry, advising clients on transactional matters, mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and healthcare regulatory compliance matters.
Alexis works with a variety of healthcare providers across the healthcare industry. Alexis represents clients in the provider-based space, including large and specialty physician practices, such as OB/GYN and fertility, allergy/ENT, ophthalmology and dermatology, and health systems and outpatient facilities, including physician owned hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers and urgent care facilities. Alexis also represents healthcare sponsors and lenders.
In this capacity, Alexis has experience on healthcare deals, commercial business transactions and general corporate matters. She also advises clients on a variety of other matters, including corporate structuring, corporate practice of medicine, licensing, fraud and abuse, regulatory due diligence and portfolio company services.
Alexis serves the firm as part of the Houston Recruiting Committee. Alexis received her law degree from Duke University School of Law, where she served as online editor of the Duke Law Journal. Prior to law school, Alexis obtained her bachelor’s degrees from North Carolina State University, where she graduated summa cum laude with University Honors.

- Representation of a private equity-backed dental services organization in dental practice platform acquisitions and add-on general and specialty dentistry practice transactions.
- Representation of a physician owned hospital in its joint venture partnership with two health systems.
- Representation of a multi-state fertility care provider in the sale to a leading fertility clinic network startup.
- Representation of a multi-state urgent care center in its sale to a comprehensive provider network and subsidiary of one of the nation’s leading providers of healthcare services.
- Representation of a private equity sponsor in an acquisition of a management services organization to a multi-site allergy and ENT practice and subsequent add-on acquisitions growing the strategic partnership to serving practices in five states.
- Representation of the parent to a physician owned hospital and ambulatory surgery center in a majority equity sale to a joint venture partnership among major health systems and a national ambulatory healthcare provider.
- Representation of a Pennsylvania ophthalmology practice and eye ambulatory surgery center in a multi-million dollar sale to a leading management services organization serving the ophthalmology sector.
- Representation of a national management services organization and one of the nation’s largest single-specialty physician networks in the partnership and acquisition of an OB/GYN practice with offices in Massachusetts.
- Representation of a private equity fund in the multi-million dollar acquisition of an administrative services provider to a multi-site ophthalmology practice in New York.
- Representation of a leading OB/GYN practice with offices in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area in a multi-million dollar sale to an integrated healthcare delivery company based in the Mid-Atlantic.
